Close Calls and Experimenting
Game 04 was a pretty scary one for me (Episodes 7 and 8). I was 90% sure that the the larger, mastiff dog thingies would make an appearance, and probably ensue some combat. It'd made sense to my notes and time line (plus I wanted to give them something to do anyway) so I went with it regardless of the fact that the team had split in two...
Wilson, Killian, and Louis are a fairly combat capable trio but those things can do a *lot* of damage, I was a tad worried that I'd end up killing someone. Luckily, as absurdly close as it was, that didn't happen. It's a goddamn tightrope. If the three of them had been rolling like poor Duke was rolling in game 07, they'd have been fucked. ;)
Meanwhile, I've been having fun putting sounds into the episodes as I edit. I like to think it adds something, though I suppose it may detract instead. I'm not really sure how far to take it, door opening creaks and car honking? The sounds of footsteps on sidewalks? I don't expect to go that far, though I am quite fond of thunderclaps! Don't worry, you only have to suffer through my meteorological fervor for two episodes.
